Turf Insects-Dave Shetlar, OSU –  Are they are eating the leaf blades?   The turfgrass crowns?   Or roots of the turfgrass plants?  The first question is usually where is the damage?  Sometimes we see the insect, and sometimes we are called in too late and they are long gone?  What are the common and not so common insects attacking turfgrass in northwest Ohio.   At what levels as we monitor, do we need to take it to the next step in the IPM approach.
