Applications for the 2023 Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program in Lucas County will be accepted until Monday, January 23, 2023. Classes are scheduled to begin on Tuesday, February 7 and run for 9 consecutive weeks. Training will occur from 9 am - 4 pm each Tuesday. This year's classes will be held in collaboration with the Wood County Extension Office. Locations throughout the program will be held in a variety of locations in Lucas and Wood Counties.

The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program is a volunteer program. In addition to the 50 hours of educational training volunteers will receive, volunteers will be required to volunteer 50 hours in 2023. The cost of the program is $235 dollars.
