Interested in making some economical, tasty, and easy convenience foods from your kitchen? This is a project that the family can help with too. Children as young as toddlers can practice washing their hands with soap and water and helping mix the ingredients in a large bowl with the help of older children or adults. We think you'll like these recipes so much you will consider making yourself some gifts from the kitchen!
We are hosting a "Gifts from the Kitchen" drop-in program for adults and children on Thursday, December 12th from 3:00 - 5:00pm at the Glass City Enrichment Center, 815 Front Street, Toledo, Ohio (it's on Front Street, directly in front of the Glass City Metropark and across the street from Burger King). It is free but please register as space is limited. Public parking is free, and the site is served by TARTA. Register by December 11th at go.osu.edu/osugcec
If you are not able to stop by, watch for us on Good Day WTOL on Tuesday December 10th, 2024 and visit this site for recipes and ideas: go.osu.edu/giftsfromkitchen
For additional ideas and recipes, our colleague Megan Taylor wrote a blog titled, Food Safety While Gift Giving for the Holiday Season.
