Spend the some time with Amy Stone, Extension Educator in Lucas County with Ohio State University Extension on a discovery of trees series. With over 100 different species of tree in Woodlawn’s Arboretum it can be tricky to tell them apart! On the tree identification walk, participants will be focusing on the subtle but easy cues that lead directly to identifying a tree. Learn techniques on diagnosing some common (and maybe not so common) tree problems. Which ones need immediate attention and which ones are just cosmetic and won't compromise the health of the tree?
Walks will normally begin at 7 pm and conclude by 8:30 pm. The September walk will begin at 6:00 pm. The October and November walks will begin at 2:00 pm. Walks typically last 90 minutes. Specific dates and times are listed below:

This community program is free and offered in collaboration with Historic Woodlawn Cemetery and Aboretum. Participants should join the group inside the main gate at the Central Avenue entrance.
