    OSU Extension will be there with the Blender Bike mixing up some healthy samples, will have lots of gardening information and flyers for upcoming community programs. You will also want to sign-up for the 2019 Breakfast on the Farm. BOTF will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019. The BOTF event is FREE (including breakfast) but registration is required.

    Thank you for participating in America Saves Week 2019 (February 25th – March 2nd)! Ohio Saves wants to share some information about local incentives, daily savings themes, and sample content to be used during the week! Be sure to follow Lucas County Extension Facebook page for daily reminders.

    Any adult from Ohio who signs the Ohio Saves pledge during America Saves Week (February 25 - March 2, 2019) will be entered to win one of eight $100 giveaways! These funds would be a great way to jumpstart an emergency savings, add to retirement savings, or more!

    Volunteers often serve in a tough capacity and volunteer coordinators help manage that tough work. How do you take care of yourself while leading and managing volunteers? This FREE session will offer tips for professionals as well also introduce a training program for volunteers that will be offered in Northwest Ohio in 2019. The volunteer training is called Tough Work: Understanding and Serving People in Poverty While Caring for Yourself.

    Make sure that you attend the upcoming Small Farm Conference on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Northwest Community College in Archbold, Ohio. There will be concurrent sessions that participants will be able to choose from. Tracks include: Farm Management, Horticulture, Livestock, Specialty Crop, and a track designed for just for youth.

On the tree identification walks, participants will be focusing on the subtle but easy cues that lead directly to identifying a tree. Learn techniques on diagnosing some common (and maybe not so common) tree problems. Which ones need immediate attention and which ones are just cosmetic and won't compromise the health of the tree?
