The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) requires all food service facilities licensed at risk level III and risk level IV to have at least one staff person who has completed an ODH approved Level 2 Food Safety Training. For more information, Ohio Department of Health, Certification webpage.

On-line option for Level 2 Food Safety Training
Ohio State University Extension, partners with TAP (Training Achievement Program) Series for an online alternative to in-person food safety classes. This online course meets all ODH requirements.
The TAP course content is entirely online, self-paced and offered in English and Spanish. Once on-line training is completed, participants will need to take an Ohio Department of Health approved proctored certification exam at a local test center. The total cost is $120 per person. $73 for the on-line training and $47 for the test center.
