How can I get involved?
- Apply by completing a Junior Fair Board Application
- Applications will be reviewed and potential members will be called in for an interview.
- All applicants MUST sign and follow the Junior Fair Board Code of Conduct.
What is the Junior Fair Board (JFB)?
- The JFB plans and conducts the Junior Fair activities of the Lucas County Fair. The members serve as Junior Fair departments and assist the Jr. Fair Division Department Heads.
- The JFB meets on the THIRD Thursday of each month. With the exception of joint Junior Senior Fair meetings. For a complete list of meeting dates click HERE.
- The JFB is designed for youth who have proven leadership abilities and are willing to take on major responsibilities including:
- Assist in determining the Jr. Fair Activity Schedule - plans and conduct Jr. Fair activities, show, and events.
- Assist in getting the Jr. Fair facilities ready for shows and events.
- Assist judges and ring officials with show ring chores during the fair.
- Attend all regular meetings, special meetings, and special events of the Jr. Fair Board and department committees.
- Maintain active and model membership in the organization that you are representing on the Jr. Fair Board.

Which youth organizations belong to the JFB?
- The Lucas County Junior Fair Board is comprised of members representing 5 county youth organizations (must have current, active youth group): 4-H, FCCLA, FFA, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts (scroll down to meet the current members)
- Members must be 14 - 18 years old by January 1 of the current year.
- Members must be in 9 - 12 grade with the full term falling within your high school years.
- The Junior Fair Board is guided by the JFB Advisors, Senior Fair Board Representatives, and an Extension Educator.
