An overview of 4-H Programs in Lucas County

I pledge: My head to clearer thinking; My heart to greater loyalty; My hands to larger service; and My health to better living. For my club, my community, my country, and my world.

  • In 2008, 1,755 boys and girls from Lucas County participated in the 4-H Youth Development Program.  This included the 4-H mini-garden program, special interest, short-term, and in-school programs.
  • Led by 73 advisors/activity leaders, 296 youth were enrolled in 4-H Clubs.
  • Over 150  youth took part in our bicycle safety program.  This program was sponsored by a 4-H Foundation grant.
  • Over 55 youth participated in a pilot program introducing one of the Ohio State University Extension's Signature Programs, Real Money, and Real World.
